Beck to headline Metronome Festival 2020

By  |

The Metronome Festival has announced Beck will headline the international music festival, which will run June 19 – 20th, 2020.

Beck rose to fame in the early 1990s with his experimental and lo-fi style and became known for creating musical collages of wide genre styles. Originally signed to a small Los Angeles based Indy label Bong Load Records, Beck first appeared on the charts with his early 90’s anthem Loser.

Since that time, Beck has constantly redefined his sound with folk, psychedelic, hip-hop, blues, R&B, indie, and jazz. Beck is now touring in support of his 14th studio album, Hyperspace, which was released in November.

Metronome Festival Prague was the first large pop/rock festival to take place in the Czech capital. The festival says they strive to provide a cross-section of various genres and musical epochs, focusing on the hottest new sounds and the best of the past.

Past Metronome Festivals have featured stars such as Iggy Pop, Sting, Liam Gallagher, Kraftwerk 3-D, Foals, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Fighters, Kasabian, John Cale, David Byrne, and Massive Attack, with over 18,000 people attending last year’s edition. More acts are expected to be announced in the near future.
